my music yayaya

the main thing (tm) i do is music, under either "the bandaid solution" or, currently, "the problem with planes".
i mostly produce pseudo-experimental electronic stuff, though i sometimes make other genres.
so far, i've released three albums: entries from headspace, reduction, and the bandaid solution!

what i use to make my music:
- fl studio (and its respective stock plugins)
- vital
- addictive drums 2
- basement drums, any volume
- serum 2 (rare)
- shaperbox 3
- everything by kilohearts
- ample guitar lite (rare)

earlier music was made in beepbox

entries from headspace

entries from headspace

the first album i made under the alias "the problem with planes." sadly cut off somewhat by the failure of my hard drive in nov. 2025, this album took forever to make and finalize. this can be attributed to equal parts perfectionism and laziness, really. it also serves as my first real exploration of (admittedly bad) midi guitars, having a lot of shoegaze and math-rocky influence in parts. this is also where i learned how to actually use a consistent key. i personally think it turned out, overall!

my favorite tracks: library of babel, fly
my least favorite track: sidewalk

ascetic ep

ascetic ep

this ep took too long to release. it was really made a bit after reduction, but i ended up just procrastinating on its release so hard that i had to awkwardly shoehorn it in with a single release. whoops. in terms of the actual musical content, it's fairly plain stuff with notably more effects and such in use than most things on reduction. the title track is also very ominous-sounding at times, with choppy drums and crushed, phasing sound design. it's super short, so it might be worth a listen. you can decide.

my favorite track: ascetic
my least favorite track: standstill (there are two tracks, so this doesn't say much)

i'm in a bit of a weird spot when it comes to this release for a variety of reasons. i don't even really want to call it an album, it's more of a compilation? but it also has the length of a short album? and i released it like a typical album? another thing is that the quality of the tracks on it are wildly varied. as it was a part of a challenge i did for myself in january where i'd make a minute of music every day, my motivation for when i'd make each song played a huge role into how good it sounds now. also, i liked 6 enough to extend it into library of babel off entries from headspace. kinda cool. it's also free.

my least favorite tracks: 8, 19, 20, 23, 26, 28

skyfox

skyfox

my first collab! and it couldn't have gone better, too - my friend isaac of BIT4 fame is a miracle worker and turned my relatively sad and uninspired contributions into something with actual depth. how am i supposed to compete with that!!! in any case, my other friend chloe (better known as anubiarts) made the original version of this single's album art! all i did was add some text and a glitchy effect from databending. definitely holds up a lot better than some of my stuff!

my favorite track: skyfox
my least favorite track: it's a single, i don't think this applies

reduction

reduction

reduction had a lot of firsts for me: although it might not be my first album, it's the first to actually attempt some level of mixing, it's the first to create real melodies and chord progressions that were more than an afterthought, and it's the first to actually apply a reasonable amount of musical principles. despite that, though, it can be very rough around the edges. it's way louder than it should have been, it's quite dissonant in parts, and it overuses the hell out of some specific techniques. maybe it's worth a listen?

my favorite tracks: swimming in the flood, the last red light
my least favorite tracks: peroxide, a ten-step guide to taking a fall

the bandaid solution

the bandaid solution

a charming little album made primarily of the first few concrete songs i was able to make after getting fl studio on my laptop. it almost feels too minimal to be in need of refinement at times, like with how few instruments are in a song like "access point" or "an object at rest". and while it's very obvious that this release is a product of me trying to find my musical footing, it clearly has the marks of the more refined music to come. i like this a lot.

my favorite tracks: distance, break even
my least favorite track: static over static

the luxury of regret

the luxury of regret

a small and not-particularly-noteworthy single from the days of yore where i still used beepbox. there's not much depth beyond the brief bitcrush at the end.

my favorite track: the luxury of regret
my least favorite track: you get the idea

including but not limited to

including but not limited to

a very, very short ep with some good ideas that was deeply limited by its medium. with almost all of the songs here made in exclusively unmodded beepbox, it was a bit of a stretch getting some of the sounds to work well. the drums in "the edge of the sky", for instance, needed to be done outside of beepbox altogether. also, "!=y\7" has really varied and experimental sound design for something so limited in form. a bit cute if anything.

my favorite track: sit back (and relax)
my least favorite track: repeta
